Supreme Industries to Acquire Orbia Wavin’s India Business

Supreme Industries, India’s largest plastic pipe manufacturer, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure (Wavin) business, a global leader in pipes and fittings. As part of the agreement, Supreme will acquire Orbia Wavin’s pipes and fittings business in India and gain exclusive access to Orbia Wavin’s advanced water management technologies across India and SAARC countries.

The acquisition includes the transfer of Orbia Wavin’s manufacturing facilities in India to Supreme, along with licensing rights to its cutting-edge solutions for water supply, sanitation, city-scale water management, agriculture, rainwater collection, and stormwater management. With Supreme’s nationwide manufacturing footprint and extensive dealer network, the deal will strengthen its position as a leader in India’s building and infrastructure sector.

M.P. Taparia, Managing Director, Supreme, stated: “This acquisition accelerates our growth trajectory and enables us to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Combining Orbia Wavin’s technologies for water management and our manufacturing and distribution strengths, we are poised to secure India’s water management needs with advanced solutions as India’s economy is projected to more than double over the next decade.

Sameer Bharadwaj, CEO, Orbia, added: “This agreement marks a significant step forward for sustainable water management in India. Supreme was a Wavin licensee for 25 years until 2017, and we are excited to renew and expand this partnership to bring innovative solutions to the Indian market.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and confirmatory due diligence by both companies. The process is expected to close by June 2025, with further updates anticipated.
