Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari told the media that the construction work of the 10-lane highway between Mysuru and Bengaluru is likely to be completed by October 2022.The expected cost of the stretch is Rs 8,350 crore. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, told the media that this road will cut the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru in half, from three hours to just 75 minutes. It will boost tourism and the economy in the region by improving connectivity between the two major cities. Gadkari said that various such infrastructure projects have been announced with great responsibility under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dynamic leadership, and it is unwavering commitment to complete them in a corruption-free, transparent, and timely manner. This cutting-edge project includes an 8 km elevated corridor, nine major bridges, 42 minor bridges, 64 underpasses, 11 overpasses, four Road Over Bridge (ROBs), and five bypasses, all of which will significantly reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
