BRO accelerating road construction in Arunachal districts near LAC

The government intends to connect all of the bordering villages in Arunachal Pradesh with good connectivity roads, and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is now working on significant infrastructure development projects along the bordering territories.

In addition to improving road connectivity, the BRO is building two significant tunnels in the Arunachal Pradesh districts of Tawang and West Kameng, which will revolutionise how the Indian security forces approach border protection.

All infrastructure development projects under Project Vartak have been carried out by the BRO.

The construction of the Nechiphu Tunnel, a 500-m-long "D-shaped, Single Tube Double Lane Tunnel'' on the Balipara-Charduar-Tawang (BCT) road in West Kameng district, which is located at an elevation of 5,700 ft, is almost finished. The Sela Pass tunnel will also be finished in the next five to six months.
