Gadkari promises to spend Rs 15 billion on improving Delhi's roads

An enhanced section between Dhaula Kuan and IGI Airport was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who also offered Rs 15 billion for Delhi鈥檚 road revamping. Gadkari officially opened the 8 kilometre section that the Public Works Department (PWD) had renovated and beautified while being accompanied by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. According to a statement from the LG office, Gadkari further promised to provide Rs 15 billion from the Central Road Fund for the improvement of relevant infrastructure in Delhi. According to the statement, the amount will be put to use for initiatives planned by the Delhi administration and overseen by the LG. Gadkari was praised by Saxena for his support of the Dhaula Kuan-IGI Airport road beautification project and given the assurance that more projects that are more appropriate will be planned as a result of the significant financial support being given.
