Master Plan Road worth Rs. 6.3 crore ready for inauguration

The much-needed 80-foot Master Plan road, one of 14 roadways undertaken by the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati, is now ready for inauguration. This Rs 6.30-cr route, which spans 1.8 kilometers, would help to relieve traffic congestion in Tirupati by connecting the MS Subbu Lakshmi center with Renigunta road near the Hero Honda dealership region. This was inaugurated on April 5th.

Because of a lack of effective road access, this area has remained neglected for many years. Residents of approximately a dozen colonies en route have been suffering. The proposed 80-foot road will benefit the neighborhood and relieve congestion on the existing Renigunta-Tirupati road. When the Municipal Corporation made the unprecedented decision to create 14 master plan highways at a stretch, this route was included, and the work was completed quickly. Needless to say, the Corporation Council has approved master plan road improvements at a cost of Rs 800 million, which has impacted the lives of residents on the city's eastern outskirts.

The master plan also includes a road from M S Subbu Lakshmi statue to Settipalli (southern side of the railway track), an 80-foot road from the south side of Karakambadi Road covering Thimminaidu Palem and Mitturu village to Cotton Mill (southern side of the Karakambadi Road), an 80-foot road from Akkarampalli starting adjacent to Brindavan Apartments opposite petrol bunk beside D Mart on Karakkambadi Road and a 100 feet road from Chennaya Gunta parallel to railway track (northern side of Renigunta Road) among others.

Deputy Mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy, the main force behind the 14 master plan roads, stated that efforts were underway to complete all of the roads within the next 2-3 months, changing the landscape of the pilgrim city. He stated that the construction of master plan roads will significantly contribute in the growth of the city's eastern neighborhoods.
