DMRC Inspects Phase-IV Progress, Eyes August Launch

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) managing director Vikas Kumar led a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing construction activities along the Maujpur-Majlish Park elevated corridor, a pivotal segment of the Phase-IV expansion. The inspection, conducted on Wednesday, encompassed key stations from Gokulpuri to Soorghat, highlighting significant advancements in the metro's infrastructure development efforts.

In a statement shared via social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, DMRC underscored the scope of the project, stating, "Vikas Kumar MD/DMRC today inspected the under construction Maujpur-Majlish Park elevated corridor of Phase-IV from Gokulpuri to Soorghat Station. This corridor is 12.098 km long and having 8 stations."

During the inspection, Kumar visited strategic locations including the Soorghat and Bhajanpura stations, emphasizing their integration with Public Works Department (PWD) structures. Of particular interest was the progress assessment of the CLC (Balance Cantilever construction Technique) bridge at Gokulpuri, a critical engineering feat within the corridor.

Simultaneously, DMRC gears up for the imminent launch of the Phase-IV project's inaugural section, slated for August. This initial phase will span the Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg corridor, encompassing a three-kilometer stretch with two newly constructed stations. Recent reports confirm the completion of construction activities in this segment, with final safety certifications and inspections currently underway.

DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal affirmed these developments, stating, "The upcoming section forms a vital part of the broader 28.9 km Phase-IV project, aimed at enhancing connectivity and convenience for commuters across Delhi." He further noted the rapid progress across the Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension corridor, indicating intensified efforts towards operational readiness and safety compliance.

The Phase-IV expansion marks a significant milestone in Delhi Metro's ongoing efforts to expand its network and cater to the city's growing transport demands. With various segments nearing completion and inauguration dates on the horizon, DMRC remains committed to delivering efficient and sustainable urban transport solutions.
