NHSRCL holds discussion for land acquisition in Noida

The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) recently held a preliminary consultation with the Gautam Budh Nagar administration regarding land needs for the two stations in the district, one in Noida Sector 144 and the other at Noida airport terminal one in Jewar.
In the last few years, real estate in Greater Noida and Noida seems to be achieving several infrastructure projects, including road connectivity and the coming Noida Airport in Jewar. The area is again in recognition of the bullet train connection.
This range is a part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor. The Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor would have 12 stations.
The proposed stations for this corridor are Delhi, Noida, Jewar Airport, Mathura, Agra, New Etawah, South Kanauj, Lucknow, Raebareli, Prayagraj, New Bhadohi and Varanasi.
For the Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail (DVHSR) bullet train corridor, over 160 hectares of land is required from GB Nagar. Besides this, 60 hectares is needed from farmers as the remaining land belongs to the government.
A detailed investigation would be conducted in this area. It would evaluate the population and traffic footfall. On January 10 from Greater Noida, the light detection and ranging survey (LiDAR) was carried out for the Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor.
LiDAR operates on the light detection principle and ranging where laser pulses are red from the helicopter to examine the ground. Therefore, the data collected over the whole stretch was processed and utilised to create a digital ground surface and elevation model.
On 29 October 29, 2020, the Ministry of Railways received the project report for the Delhi Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor.
The corridor is nearly 800 km long, which would also link Ayodhya. The High-Speed Rail (HSR) would connect the coming international airport at Jewar as well.
