Adani Group plans to build six more MMLPs over the next two years

As a result of the implementation of the National Master Plan for Multi-Modal Connectivity, the Adani Group, with headquarters in Ahmedabad, plans to expand its logistic business by opening six additional Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) over the course of the next two years in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Telangana.
As many as five MMLPs are already being run by Adani Group in various regions of the nation. Six other parks are now being prepared for commissioning: Sanand and Ankleshwar in Gujarat, Dadri in Uttar Pradesh, Panipat in Haryana, Hyderabad, and a location close to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. According to Adani Logistics managing director and CEO Vikram Jaisinghani (ALL), they could accomplish these projects quickly with the aid of the PM Gati Shakti - Master Plan for Multi-Modal Connectivity.
Speaking after the national launch of the PM Gati Shakti initiative, Jaisinghani said that as a result of the initiative, developers of logistics parks will quickly receive permission from a single platform, enabling them to complete their projects more quickly.
Nine MMLPs are currently being run by ALL in Patli, Kishangarh, Kilaraipur, Kanech, Malur, Nagpur, Mundra, Taloja, and Vap. In April 2023, Adani Logistics would open MMLP on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, close to Sanand. The Gujarat government and Adani Ports and SEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in January 2021 to build Virochan Nagar, close to Sanand in Ahmedabad, the largest multi-modal logistics park in India. There are 1,450 acres in the park. According to the MoU, the park will draw 500 billion rupees in investment and employ 25,000 people directly and indirectly.
鈥淚n the next three years, ALL is looking to expand warehousing capability from existing 10 million sq ft to as high as 60 million sq ft. At present, we are having around 20-grain terminals which we want to enhance up to 100 in the next couple of years,鈥� he added.
ALL, a subsidiary of Adani Ports and SEZ, is the country's most diversified end-to-end logistics service provider, with a presence in all major markets. The company serves a wide range of customers in industries such as retail, industrial, container, bulk, break-bulk, liquids, auto, and grain.
Another Adani Group company, Adani Agri Logistics (AALL), has also signed an exclusive service agreement with the Food Corporation of India for the handling of food grains. Everything from receiving at base depots, cleaning and drying, storage, and transportation to field depots is done in bulk, reducing losses. These units are notified of FCI procurement centers, where farmers deliver their produce in bulk directly. The project was completed at a cost of nearly Rs 7 billion.
