J&K: New plastic recycling centre to come up in Bandurakh

Jammu Municipal Corporation has signed an agreement with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) to establish a plastic recycling facility in Bandurakh, where 5 million tonnes of plastic waste will be recycled and converted into useful products.

The CEE organised a Waste Management workshop in collaboration with the Quality Council of India here in the Jammu Municipal Corporation's conference hall to help participants understand the characterization of MSW and identify gaps in waste management. Sanitation Officers, Assistant Sanitation Officers, and Sanitary Officers from all three zones took part.
