Coal India Limited provides 532.41 mt coal up to 26 Jan 2022

Coal India Limited (CIL) has supplied coal to the tune of 532.41 Million tonnes (mt) during the current fiscal (up to 26th January 2022), as against last year same period figures of 453.98 MT attaining an increase of approximately 17%.

Moreover, in the current fiscal, against the pro-rated demand of 439.37 mt by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) up to 26th January 2022, CIL has provided coal to the tune of 432.90 MT (up to 26th January 2022) to the power sector, thereby attaining a materialisation of nearly 99% as against last year same period figures of 351.57 Million tonnes, attaining a growth of 23% over last year corresponding period.

This data was provided by the Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi in a written reply in Lok Sabha.

There is no shortage of coal supply from Coal India Limited (CIL) sources, being the single largest supplier of domestic coal in India.

On Sensex, Coal India finished at Rs 161.20 per piece, decreased by 1.7%.

Mumbai Metro Lines Four and Four A Set For Trial Runs Soon

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is preparing to launch trial runs on a key 10-kilometre stretch spanning ten stations from Cadbury to Gaimukh on Metro Lines Four and Four A.
