Power Mech bags Rs 61.63 bn order from Adani Group

Power Mech Projects (PMPL) rose 4.90% to Rs 1,206.90 after the business reported that it had received a record order from Adani Group for 5 Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) projects worth Rs 61.63 billion.

On a complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, the company obtained 5 FGD contracts from Adani Group for the installation of 15 FGD retrofits to coal-based facilities at Mundra, Tiroda, Kawai, and Udupi. The company stated that the projects will be completed in 30 months for its plants ranging from 330 MW to 660 MW.

According to the company, these FGD units would successfully reduce Sulphur-dioxide emissions by 92% and will contribute significantly to India's ambitious aim of reducing emission intensity, as announced at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26.
