Jammu and Kashmir to finish 54,000 dwellings under PMAY-G in FY23

During the fiscal year 2022-23, the Jammu and Kashmir administration aims to complete one lakh developmental projects and build 54,000 dwellings under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).

During the current fiscal year, it also plans to provide internet connectivity to all gramme panchayats, as well as build or renovate 700 panchayat ghars across the Union territory, he said.

According to the spokesman, the rural sector has received an allocation of Rs 4,627.85 crore under capital expenditure for 2022-23, which is Rs 327.40 crore more than the previous year's budget allocation.

According to the spokesman, 426 lakh person days are expected to be generated through the MGNREGA in 2022-23, with 60,000 work cards slated to be given based on demand.

He said that one lakh development projects of various types will be started.

According to the spokesman, 1,500 elected representatives will be given experience visits outside of Jammu and Kashmir as part of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.

All gram panchayats will be connected to the internet, and a total of 700 panchayat ghars will be built or renovated, with 400 new and 300 old.

According to the revised budget, 54,000 dwellings would be built under the PMAY-G, and 87,250 individual household latrines and 2,500 community sanitary complexes will be built under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin from 2022-to 23.

According to him, the National Rural Livelihood Mission plans to build 21,194 self-help groups between 2022 and 2023.

He informed that under Himayat (Deen Dyal Upadhyaya-Gramin Kaushalya Yojana), 14,067 youth will receive skill training and 9,847 will be placed in jobs between 2022 and 2023.
