L&T Construction secures orders for buildings and factories

L&T Construction recently announced that their buildings and factories (B&F) business had secured EPC orders in India. According to the company, the significant orders ranged from Rs 10 billion to Rs 25 billion.

Orders had been obtained from a reputable developer for the construction of commercial towers at two locations in Mumbai. The work involved the construction of four-level basements and two towers, one with 70 floors and the other with 50 floors, totaling a combined BUA of 3.4 million sq ft. The completion of the towers was expected within forty months.

In May, L&T had announced that it had secured large orders worth over Rs 25 billion in both domestic and offshore markets. The power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business of its subsidiary, Larsen & Toubro Construction, had obtained significant orders for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. The company mentioned that it had secured two orders in Saudi Arabia, one for establishing 380kV overhead power transmission lines connecting prominent cities along the Red Sea coast, and the other for designing, supplying, and constructing a 380kV substation in the central region of Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the company stated that in India, the PT&D business had continued its success in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects. They had received fresh orders from a prominent Gujarat DISCOM, involving the modernization and development of distribution infrastructure in three districts of Gujarat's southern region.
