Ludhiana civic body razes illegal comm building

In an effort to uphold building bylaws, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) conducted the demolition of an unlawful commercial construction located in Kitchlu Nagar on Friday. The MC officials asserted that the construction was in clear violation of established building regulations. Notably, commercial buildings are prohibited from being established within residential areas, and the owner had previously received warnings regarding this infringement.

MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi emphasized that consistent efforts are being made to combat illegal constructions, and he urged property owners to refrain from engaging in such activities. Rishi also announced the intention to intensify the crackdown on illegal construction in the coming days.

Furthermore, Rishi issued an appeal to residents, urging them to obtain the necessary approvals for building plans from the civic body before commencing any construction work. He underscored that structures must conform to building bylaws, and stringent actions will be taken against those found in violation.

This proactive stance taken by the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation reflects their commitment to enforcing regulations, ensuring proper urban planning, and maintaining the integrity of residential and commercial zones in the city.
