The company has always been a leader in the paint industry, pushing new concepts in India like Colour Worlds, 亚博体育官网首页 Solutions, Colour Next, and Kids' World. It manufactures a wide range of paints for decorative and industrial use. These widely include interior paints, exterior paints, metal finishes, wood finishes and waterproofing. Driven by its strong consumer-focus and innovative spirit, the company has been the market leader in paints since 1967. The paint manufacturer has also set up its seventh decorative paint manufacturing capacity of 300,000 KL per annum with state-of the-art facilities. The plant has been operational since February 20, 2013, and production from the facility will be ramped up progressively going forward. Manufacturing capacity at the plant at Rohtak in Haryana too has been increased from 150,000 KL per annum to 200,000 KL per annum. Asian Paints has also forayed into the home improvement sector and acquired a 51 per cent stake in the Sleek Group.

The company's standalone revenue in 2012-2013 rose 13.6 per cent to Rs 10,906 crore while its net profit rose 12.7 per cent to Rs 1,113.88 crore from Rs 988.73 crore in the previous year.
