SLSWCA approves 2 projects

State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved two proposals including the GMR Kamalang Energy capacity expansion and the Maa Durga thermal power project at Tangi.

GMR Kamalang Energy plans to expand the capacity of its plant from 1,050 MW to 1,400 MW. The estimated cost of the project is pegged at Rs 6,040 crore.

The approval to the proposal of Maa Durga project to set up a 60 MW (2x30MW) power plant follows the water allocation for the project by the state water resources department. The project worth Rs 298.05 crore was recommended by the Task Force on power, subject to availability of water from Birupa.
