MP Arora: Halwara Airport project progressing

Sanjeev Arora, member of Parliament mentioned that the Halwara airport project was progressing as planned and would be concluded in the near future.

Arora had visited the project site along with ACA Glada, ADC Ludhiana, SDM Raikot, SE PWD, and AAI officers to evaluate the ongoing construction work.

He had meticulously gone through each point of discussion with the officials, such as the provision of parking bays for aircraft, the connection with the Air Force's main runway, the installation of air-conditioners, the arrangement of lighting, CCTV cameras, firefighting facilities, power connectivity, and security provided by the Punjab Police once the airport becomes operational.

Additionally, he had addressed matters concerning parking space, entrance, and the exterior design of the terminal building. Arora had instructed the officials to inform him if any obstacles arose during the project's execution at any stage. He had assured that there would be no shortage of funds for the project.

Furthermore, Arora had stated that the project had drawn the attention not only of Ludhiana's business community but also of the entire state. He had noted that the project had experienced delays in the past due to various reasons and had emphatically urged the officials not to miss another completion deadline.

Opening of a segment of the elevated road soon

Arora, accompanied by concerned officials, had taken a trial ride on a part of the elevated road under construction, spanning from the entrance on Ferozepur Road to the mini-secretariat. He had conveyed that this stretch would be accessible to the public in the next 7 to 10 days upon its finalization.

He had also issued directives to the relevant officials to expedite the completion of a section of the elevated road up to Bharat Nagar Chowk and the bus stand to minimize inconvenience for commuters.
