Banjara Hills Road No 2 in Hyd to be widened

In Hyderabad, for the widening of Road No. 2 in Banjara Hills will get the required land of the Green Mosque (Masjid-e-Hussaini) and a bakery. The two structures will be razed to widen the road, so that motorists will have a smooth ride without any obstacles. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had sought 650 square yards of 2,000 sq yards land for widening the road to 100 ft. The mosque committee agreed to part with 333 sq yards and Mountain Bakery, which is in the mosque annexe. The bakery will be demolished for widening the road and a new structure is being constructed to shift the eatery. The Road No 2 would be expanded by another 17 ft by acquiring 333 sq yards. The 82-ft road would end traffic problems to a great extent on the stretch once the road widening is done, the authorities said.
