Under the leadership of its Chairman & Managing Director Jagdish Kadam, Pune-based Rajpath Infracon has set a world record by constructing a 39.69 km of asphalt road in 24 hours. This record was achieved on the Pusegaon-Mhasurne Road in Maharashtra’s Satara district. The entire project was completed in three shifts and at six locations with the help of about 474 workers and 250 vehicles and equipment. Bituminous concrete was used for the construction of the 3.5-m-wide road. Initially the company had planned to construct a 30 km stretch of the road in a day. Instead, with Kadam leading the the team, the workers managed to construct 39.69 km of road in 24 hours. The single-lane road was completed with the help of the state government's PWD. Furthermore, the work will also be recorded in the Limca Book of Records. Kudos to Kadam and his team for this illustrious achievement.
