In mining application, pneumatic tools are preferred as along with drilling air flushing is required to complete the job. For general construction and repair jobs, pneumatic tools are placed in competition with electric tools and since pneumatic tools are application specific and mainly cater to continuous duty jobs where electric ones are not recommended.
