Delhi Development Authority (DDA) would conduct a draw for the allotment of flats under DDA Special Housing Scheme 2021 on 18 April.
An official told the media that DDA Special Housing Scheme 2021, offering 18,335 flats from different categories across Delhi, is slated to be held on 18 April. It has received about 12,400 applications for it.
The number of applicants is much less than the total number of flats on offer and discounted prices.
The scheme was launched on 23 December 2021 and closed on 10 March.
An official said that Delhi Development Authority (DDA) would conduct a draw for the allotment of flats under DDA Special Housing Scheme 2021 on 18 April. It will be based on a random number generation system in the presence of judges and senior officers of the DDA.
Around 18,335 flats of different categories in Dwarka, Narela, Rohini and Jasola were offered under the DDA Special Housing Scheme 2021.
These are the flats that remained unsold in previous housing schemes of the urban body.
According to the DDA, the maximum price of a flat is about Rs 2.14 crore in the high-income group (HIG) category in Jasola.
The inventory includes 205 HIG flats, 976 mid-income groups (MIG) flats, 11,452 low-income groups (LIG) flats and 5,702 flats under the economically weaker section (EWS) or Janta flats category.
Initially, the deadline to apply for the scheme was 7 February but was extended to 10 March on public demand and because of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was the second scheme of DDA for 2021, while the first one was offered last year.
DDA had approved an amendment in the housing regulations for the public to participate in its schemes, although they or their family members own a flat or plot in Delhi.
The unsold flats may be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and no condition is applied in terms of ownership of flats to the applicants.
