NMC provides 3 months extension for offline building plans approval

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has extended the deadline by three months till March-end for offline approval of the building plans submitted before 31 December. The new building plans are to be submitted online.

Previously, 31 December was the deadline for offline submission of the building plans, and more than 1,500 proposals were submitted. These building proposals are yet to be approved by the town planning department. However, the builders and developers demanded an extension.

The officials of the NMC said that the state government had given a 50% concession in premium charges. The offline submission and approval of the building plans were effective by December only.

An official said that most builders and developers submitted the building plans in December. The process of approving the building plans submitted by December will be carried out by 31 March. The online submission and approval of the building plans started on 1 January.

According to Nilesh Chavan, an architect, the government has started online submission for the new building plans in January. There is a need for online and offline gateways unless the online system is foolproof and streamlined.
