One of the 20 townships projects under Samruddhi Mahamarg will become a reality in Arvi Tehsil in Nagpur鈥檚 Wardha. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) Limited has received 75% land. In the new townships, Krishi Samruddhi Kendra, the land is acquired under a land pooling system besides direct purchasing or acquisition. Radheshayam Mopalwar, Vice-chairman and Managing Director of MSRDC, had inspected the work of the townships in Arvitensil and other packages in Western Maharashtra. He said that the works of package-I have been completed. The contractors are focusing on expediting the work from Nagpur to Shirdi. It has already completed the work 1.5 years before the Covid-19 pandemic. He added that the notification of toll charges would be issued within 15 days. He has reviewed the development of tolls, petrol pumps, emergency management systems and other amenities. The corporation plans to extend the expressway to the Gondia district. Eknath Shinde, MSRDC Minister, announced that the stretch from Nagpur to Shirdi will start from December end. According to MSRDC officials, concretization work of 31 km is remaining in package-I, which will finish by December end. The project works of 140 structures have been completed and have also completed 65% of the work on wildlife overpasses. According to data, the new township in Arvi tehsil will require 1,169.19 hectares of land, out of which 75% have already been acquired by MSRDC. It will be situated on both sides of the 120 m wide expressway in six mouzas. As per MSRDC officials, the corporation will acquire 90% of the required land within the next few months to begin the work in six months. The project-affected persons (PAPs) will receive 30% of the land developed within 3-4 years. The PAPs will also receive Rs 30,000 per acre for rain-fed land, Rs 45,000 per acre for seasonal irrigational or seasonal cash crops land and Rs 60,000 per acre for irrigated land.
