Yamuna Authority initiates land acquisition survey for 4 Sectors

The Yamuna Authority has launched a survey to acquire approximately 3,778 acres of land spanning four upcoming sectors. The allocation for these sectors includes residential purposes for Sector 5, industrial use for Sector 6, and mixed land use for Sectors 7 and 8.
Officials anticipate completing the survey work within 15 days, following which the Authority will fast-track the land acquisition process for the designated sectors. During the survey, the construction history of the targeted land will be assessed. Once the survey report is available, a proposal for acquisition will be formulated and forwarded to the district administration to advance the process.
A total of 942 acres will be acquired for Sector 5, 859 acres for Sector 6, 1,167 acres for Sector 7, and 810 acres for Sector 8. In the residential sector, over 2,000 plots will be available for individuals interested in building houses near the airport. Sector 6 will be exclusively dedicated to industrial development.
Sectors 7 and 8 will allow multiple land uses, with 70% of the plot designated for industries, 10% for residential activities, 13% for commercial activities, 5% for institutional activities, and 2% for other purposes. This flexible zoning aims to facilitate industries in constructing housing and establishing shops and offices for their employees, according to officials.
Given the proximity to Noida International Airport, priority will be given to industries related to the aviation sector and logistics hub in these sectors.
Simultaneously, a revised proposal has been submitted to the Aligarh district administration for acquiring land for the logistics park in the Tappal-Bajna area. A prior proposal was returned due to discrepancies in plot numbers. Additionally, the district administration has requested the distribution of additional compensation for the land purchased for Land for Development (LFD) during the construction of the Yamuna Expressway, which remains unpaid to date.
