Yamuna Authority to develop 2k plots near Noida airport

The Yamuna Authority is doing a survey covering approximately 3,778 acres of land spanning four upcoming sectors in Noida. The identified sectors include Sector 5 for residential purposes, Sector 6 for industrial use, and Sectors 7 and 8 for mixed land use. This move is part of the Authority?s strategic planning to accommodate the growing demand for varied development in the region.
Officials have outlined that the survey is anticipated to conclude within 15 days. Following this, the Authority will streamline the land acquisition process for the designated sectors. An official stated, ?During the survey, it will be determined what kind of construction works have been done on the land set for acquisition. After the survey report is available, a proposal for acquisition will be prepared and sent to the district administration to move the acquisition process forward.?
The proposed land allocation for the sectors stands at 942 acres for Sector 5, 859 acres for Sector 6, 1,167 acres for Sector 7, and 810 acres for Sector 8. Sector 5 is earmarked for residential plots, with over 2,000 plots slated for development near the Noida International Airport. Sector 6 will exclusively cater to industrial establishments.
For Sectors 7 and 8, a versatile land-use approach is adopted. Industries can utilise 70 per cent of the total plot, residential activities can encompass 10 per cent, commercial activities can occupy 13 per cent, institutional activities can be accommodated on 5 per cent, and other activities can utilise 2 per cent. This multifaceted land use aims to foster a dynamic environment where industries can build houses and establish shops and offices for their workforce.
Given the proximity to the Noida International Airport, there is a focus on prioritising industries related to the aviation sector and the establishment of a logistics hub in these sectors.
