YEIDA offers 416 housing plots near Jewar airport

Officials told the media that 416 plots were offered in sectors 16, 18 and 20 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), 6 km from the airport, and received around 13,889 applications.
Yamuna Expressway Authority launched the residential plot scheme in December near the upcoming Jewar airport, which closed on 24 January with more than 30 times the response.
The plots range from 120-500 sq m and 1,000-4,000 sq m, while the circle rate is between Rs 17,400 and 17,800 per sq m.
Over 7,000 applications were received for plots of 120 sq m, whereas only two for 500 sq m. Moreover, bigger plots of 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 sq m attracted only 128, 27, 21 applicants, respectively. The draw of lots will be conducted after the model code of conduct is lifted.
Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of YEIDA, Shailendra Bhatia, said that overall, 13,889 applications were received for 416 plots under the residential scheme. The number may increase after the consolidation of the date. The circle rate will be Rs 17,800 per sq m for plots up to 200 sq m, while Rs 17,400 for above 200 sq m.
According to an official, the residential building witnessed maximum interest from people in the Yamuna Expressway area. Additionally, the interest in the upcoming Jewar airport has also increased due to different development projects, including the International Film City, industrial parks and high-speed rail corridor projects.
