Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar, signalling a major push for regional air connectivity. The terminal is being developed at a cost exceeding Rs 4.1 billion and will feature modern passenger amenities, a cargo terminal, and an ATC tower. During the event, the Prime Minister also flagged off the inaugural Hisar鈥揂yodhya flight. The airport's redevelopment, valued at Rs 15 billion over five years, aligns with India鈥檚 aviation growth鈥攁irports have doubled from 74 to over 150 since 2014, with 600 regional routes launched under the UDAN scheme.
