Pune municipal corporation razes illegal constructions in Yewalewadi

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started illegal constructions and encroachments demolition in its 11 merged villages.

Unauthorised constructions on 22,000 sq ft area in Yewalewadi have been razed. The civic body has also planned to extend the demolition drive in its recently merged 23 villages.

The Pune civic body has taken strong actions against illegal constructions and encroachments across its civic limits.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and backlash against the anti-encroachment drive along Ambali Odha caused hindrance in the demolition drive. PMC has even launched a drive against illegal hoardings and banners.

PMC Commissioner, Kunal Khemnar, said that the civic body had deployed staff at the ward level to take action regularly.

Kolkata鈥檚 luxury housing market sees price growth amid mixed trends
