Roof India 2010 saw over 101 exhibitors displaying their latest to over 3,500 visitors. The 2011 edition witnessed over 115 exhibitors and over 4,000 visitors. Clearly, the series promises to be an even bigger draw, with every passing year.

India is today, the second fastest growing economy in the world, not to mention the fourth largest in terms of Purchasing Power Parity. The country's $12 billion real estate market, estimated to be expanding at the rate of 30 percent annually, is projected to grow to nearly $90 billion over the next decade, according to analysts at Merrill Lynch. This spells huge opportunity for construction and a host of allied industries such as roofing, cladding pre-engineered buildings (PEBs), metal building systems and steel structures (MBSS), roof landscaping, waterproofing, et al.
 
The recently concluded Roof India 2011, Asia's largest roofing and allied technologies event, and the tenth in the series, aimed at tapping this enormous potential by bringing together key players, industry representatives and prospective clients from India and around the world under one single roof.  

Marked presence
Over 115 exhibitors from India and abroad displayed the latest from the world of roofing and allied products and technologies. The exhibitor list comprised the  likes of Bayer Malibu Polymers, Essar Steel, Henkel Polybit, Hyundai Hysco Steel, Engineering Edge/Ason Enterprises, Kirby, Mehler Technologies, Owens-Corning, Pennar PEB, Certainteed/Saint Gobain, Tata BlueScope Steel, Vijaynath Roofing, Zamil Steel and so on.
 
Strong turnout
A benchmark for industry, the three-day exhibition saw over 4,000 visitors, including architects, civil engineers, structural consultants, real estate promoters/ builders, town planners, civil contractors, EPC project consultants, business persons/entrepreneurs and others looking for total building enveloping and roofing solutions.  

Organisation and support
The show was organised by Unitech Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, a leading professional exhibition organiser since 2001. It enjoyed the support of prestigious organisations such as NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association) - USA, TensiNet (International Association of Tensile Fabric Companies) and IGRA (International Green Roofs Association).
 
Meanwhile, the next edition in the Roof India series, Roof India 2012, will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre from
May 25-27, 2012; as announced by Unitech towards the end of the event.
