Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured real estate developers that the state government is prepared to implement administrative reforms in the real estate sector, reducing confusion caused by administrative provisions or directives.
The statement was made to a group of real estate developers at the launch of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) Foundation, a permanent corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of CREDAI Ahmedabad-GIHED.
According to Patel, they want to put an end to the practice of projects being stalled due to multiple interpretations of a single provision.
He added that once a provision is made, it should only have one interpretation at a time.
The CM, on the other hand, was quick to point out that his government has never done anything wrong and will never do so.
According to the CREDAI national vice-president, the government should take steps to reduce the time to three months to speed up project execution.
The construction industry employs the most people, pays the most taxes to the state and the federal government, and generates the most wealth.
CREDAI Ahmedabad has established a long-term foundation for its CSR efforts.
Tejas Joshi, president of CREDAI Ahmedabad-GIHED, an Ahmedabad city chapter of CREDAI, said the foundation aims to engage in CSR activities such as skill development for labourers, nutritious food, and education for construction workers' children.
It also plans to build a public garden on land owned by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation near the CREDAI Ahmedabad house in the city.
